My vision of Genesis, the birth of the universe.

From black to white:  the presence of nothing to the potential of everything.

Infinitesimal particles floated randomly for millions of years.

They coalesced into a large black form, forecasting the first stirrings of life.

These monochromatic particles of matter were pushed and pulled by an unknown force, acquiring shapes and exploding into color.

The random forms jockeyed for space…in space…filling space.  However, disregard for boundaries prevented a harmonious formation.

The friction sparked embers; angry flames erupted. The matter exploded, erasing any early efforts toward coexistence.  Lightning illuminated the heavens and exposed desolation.

From this destruction, tears of failure flowed.   A brutal cold turned the  uncontrollable stream of tears  into solid sheets of ice which blanketed the earth.

A  yellow ball made its initial appearance in the heavens. This warm glow slowly melted the ice, nourished the earth and enabled the sowing of the seeds of life.

The creator could now/finally rest.

EVOLUTION:  A higher power created the heavens and the earth, but placed the future in the hands of man. Where will we take this monumental responsibility?  The possibilities are infinite.
